Kindness Company - Social Change Collective
KINDNESS COMPANY WORKING WITH ORGANISATIONS
We partner with government agencies, community organisations, peak bodies, health services, research bodies, and creative agencies to design, develop, and deliver work that genuinely shifts things.
Complex project management
and implementation
We lead multi-year, multi-stakeholder projects in areas that require both technical rigour and deep community trust. Recent examples include:
The More I Talk The Stroger I Get (NCACSA)
A community-led project designed to break cycles of child sexual abuse in First Nations communities, creating safe pathways for survivors to speak and be heard, and building community-level prevention knowledge and practice.
KBHAC End of Life Dillybag
End-to-end project management and co-design of a full suite of end of life planning tools for Stolen Generations survivors, including End of Life Wishes documents, Advanced Care Directives, Care Companion Decision Aids, Crisis Coordination Templates, Loss and Grief Guides, and factsheets on burial and Aboriginal cultural and spiritual principles. Guided throughout by Uncles sharing their own wishes.
Coota Girls and Children of Bomaderry Justice Reinvestment Project
Complex community engagement and project management supporting the Coota Girls Aboriginal Corporation and Children of Bomaderry communities in their justice reinvestment work, honouring the lives and legacies of women and children removed from Country under the Stolen Generations.
Compassionate Community Model of Care, Gold Coast
Leading the development of a community-driven, culturally informed model of palliative and end of life care for the Gold Coast region, building local infrastructure and capacity outside of clinical settings so that more people can die where and how they choose.
Conversations That Carry Hope, ECCQ
Co-design and delivery of a four-session bicultural workforce training program equipping community health workers to navigate end of life and palliative care conversations with CALD communities. Produced a full suite of transferable resources including culturally adapted communication guides, a trauma-informed care framework, a reflective supervision model, and a referral pathway map.
Specialist consultancy and advisory
We provide specialist advisory and consultancy services to organisations navigating complex community engagement, policy, and systems design challenges. Recent examples include:
NSW Cancer Plan Renewal
Advisory role on the renewal of the NSW Cancer Plan, contributing a First Nations and multicultural community lens to strategic planning and priority setting.
Specialist consultant and advisor engaged to lead a national needs assessment with First Nations and multicultural communities, informing the design and development of a national telehealth service for people living with liver disease. Ongoing specialist community and stakeholder engagement advisory services.
Liver Foundation: National Needs Assessment and Telehealth Development
Communication and campaign research
For over four years, Kindness Company has operated as a specialist research partner for Carbon Creative, undertaking communication and campaign research, testing, and evaluation across a range of state and national campaigns. Campaigns include:
• Territories Redress Scheme
• National Anti-Vaping Campaign
• Smoking in Pregnancy Campaign
• Australian Human Rights Commission rebrand
This work spans qualitative research design, community consultation, message testing, audience analysis, and evaluative research, consistently delivered to tight timeframes across culturally diverse and hard-to-reach communities.
Facilitation of complex workshops, meetings, and consultations
We design and hold spaces where difficult things can be said, heard, and worked through. This includes community consultations, stakeholder engagement, co-design processes, and strategic planning.
Health and wellbeing program development
We develop evidence-informed, culturally grounded health, wellbeing, and end of life programs from scratch,
or review and strengthen existing ones.
Workforce capacity building
We build the skills and confidence of staff who work at the intersection of culture, trauma, and end of life care. This includes training in culturally safe end of life communication, facilitation of yarning-style conversations, grief and sorry business, and Advanced Care Directive completion support.
Research and evaluation
We design and conduct research that communities trust, because we do it alongside them.
Staff wellbeing and renewal days
We offer curated social and emotional wellbeing, rest, and renewal days for teams who are carrying a lot. These are not off-the-shelf team-building days. They are carefully designed, deeply restorative, and often transformative.
'A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions,
and the roots spring up and make new trees.
The greatest work that kindness does to others is that
it makes them kind themselves.'
- Frederick William Faber
READ OUR CLIENT TESTIMONIALS
'My brother died two months ago. The last time I saw Harp I felt deep sadness. She told me about the deep rest sessions she runs and I had one today. I have been feeling so much anger and that lifted; my body feels different, better. I haven't felt like this for months'
— DONNA
'Words can't describe the scaredness of today.... your playing was next level. It truly gave me the strength to be strong and take my mind off what was actually happening. In my 10 years of nursing it's the most precious experience I've ever had.'
— HOPEWELL HOSPICE
“Harp's compassionate and professional guidance has given me acceptance, knowledge and strength as I face one of the most difficult challenges
of my life.”
